Oh Where, Oh Where Has Griffin Gone? Day No. 57 for Great Dane Missing From North Bay

"It's hard to believe that a 180-pound Great Dane could be difficult to spot," says the dog's desperate, heartbroken owner.

Dear North Bay residents: Griffin is STILL MISSING!

Griffin, a giant black Dane, disappeared from a ranch off of Wooden Valley Road in Napa County on the 25th of November.

“From credible tips, we do know that our boy is wandering Napa Valley,“ said Griffin’s owner, Janene Kraft.

“Most recently, he was seen (two weeks ago) in Yountville. Our highly trained K9 tracking dogs confirmed his scent after a Yountville neighbor reported seeing a large black Great Dane running down Mulberry, a street that backs the vineyards in that area,” she said.

More than 25,000 people in the North Bay are aware and searching for this beloved boy, who has been wandering for more than 50 days!

At this stage in his journey, Griffin could be hungry, but very nervous around people and will avoid human contact, Kraft said.

“It’s hard to believe that a 180-pound Great Dane could be difficult to spot,” she said.

Kraft has fielded numerous calls of sightings, (even one mistaking a runaway black cow for Griff), but always a day or two after he was seen.

The only way to bring him home is to get the “Missing Griffin” message out to the entire North Bay, in hopes that someone will call immediately upon spotting him, she said. The number is 619-990-0168.
