Saturday - Today! - In Healdsburg: Inaugural Velo & Vines Century Bike Ride and Fundraiser
Fundraiser to Benefit UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation

UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) is hosting the inaugural Velo & Vines Century Bike Ride in Healdsburg today, Saturday, June 13.
Supporters from across the nation will gather at the Arnot-Roberts winery for the start of an exclusive 100 mile (100 kilometers) ride along the rolling hills and valleys of Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River.
At each rest stop along the route riders will have an opportunity to experience some of the best artisan foods in Sonoma County, local entertainment. Supporters will cheer the cyclists along the route. The cycling tour will end with a post-ride awards ceremony and marketplace featuring local vendors, community partners and supporters. A family that has received a grant from UHCCF will also be on hand to thank the cyclists and supporters.

Since 2007, UHCCF has awarded more than 8,500 grants valued at over $26M to children and their families across the United States. Last year, UHCCF awarded medical grants worth an estimated $5.4 million to more than 2,000 children across the United States. UHCCF’s funding is provided by contributions from individuals, corporations and UnitedHealth Group employees.

9:00 a.m. – Ride starts/Kick off (registration begins at 8:00 am)
2:30 p.m. – Riders begin arriving back after completing the Century Ride
3:00 p.m. – Community celebration; awards ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m.
