At-Risk 75-Year-Old Man No Longer Missing From Santa Rosa, Police Say
Patrick Orr has been located, police said in an update.
SANTA ROSA, CA — UPDATE: Santa Rosa police in an update at 3:30 p.m. Thursday said a 75-year-old man missing since Wednesday morning has been found.
Patrick Orr, who is deaf and has a cognitive disability, received medical attention and will be ok, police said.
Information about his whereabouts was not immediately disclosed.

ORIGINAL POST: Police in Santa Rosa were continuing Thursday to put extensive resources toward the search for a 75-year-old man reported missing Wednesday morning.
Patrick Orr, who is considered at-risk because he is deaf and has a cognitive disability, went missing around 6 a.m. Wednesday when he walked away from a residence in the 1500 block of Herbert Street, near Jennings and Range avenues in Santa Rosa.

"Early on, Sonoma County Search-and-Rescue teams were requested and deployed into the area," Santa Rosa police said in an update at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. "Search teams have worked to cover an extensive area from where Mr. Orr was last seen. These searches continue at this time. "
Wednesday night, the California Highway Patrol on Wednesday night activated a Silver Alert for Orr.
"Mr. Orr may be confused and unable to communicate due to a cognitive disability and being deaf," the Santa Rosa Police Department said. "Mr. Orr was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and possibly a diaper."
Orr has gray hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.
Police asked area residents to remain vigilant and to continue to check their properties and vehicles, as Orr may be seeking shelter from the cold.
He is also in need of medication, police said.
Anyone who sees Orr or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
