Speeder Stopped, Arrested For 98 Pounds Of Packaged Marijuana, Illegal Fireworks: Officers
BREAKING: The suspect reportedly sped by the CHP officer along Highway 101 in Cloverdale area.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – The California Highway Patrol arrested a Los Altos man Tuesday in Cloverdale for possession of 98 pounds of processed and packaged marijuana and illegal fireworks.
CHP Officer Mike Phennicie was monitoring traffic on southbound U.S. Highway 101 at Cloverdale Boulevard when a black Chevrolet truck sped by in excess of 70 mph, the CHP said.
Phennicie contacted the driver, Eric Wickersham, 32 of Los Altos, and determined he was on probation for vehicle theft. Phennicie smelled marijuana and saw several large duffle bags in the truck.

A search turned up the packaged pot and fireworks. Wickersham was arrested and booked in the Sonoma County Jail for possession and transportation for sale of marijuana and possession of dangerous fireworks.
