Thank You, Firefighters: Healdsburg Photos Of The Day

HEALDSBURG, CA — Patch reader Melinda Pressler snapped photos of these signs she spotted on West Dry Creek Road in Healdsburg.

"A little sign says a lot," Melinda wrote in an email to Patch.

The Point Fire broke out June 16 in northwest of Healdsburg and threatened homes in the Dry Creek Valley.

Firefighters from agencies throughout Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties battled the blaze, which burned 1,207 acres until it was contained on June 24. Only three structures were destroyed, and two were damaged.

One firefighter was hospitalized for a non-burn-related injury suffered during the fire's early hours.
