TRAFFIC ALERTS: Portion of University Street To Close Wednesday

News from the City of Healdsburg:

The Municipal Utility Department will be changing out a power pole in the 500 block of University Street on Wednesday May 27. Due to the nature of the work the road will be closed between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM.

Announcement from the Healdsburg Police Department:

Healdsburg Police Department will be conducting a special traffic enforcement operation on Wednesday May 27, with focused enforcement on collision-causing factors. Motor officers from the Sonoma County Combined Intensive Traffic Enforcement team will focus efforts in trouble spots, major intersections, and areas around schools.

Officers will be looking for traffic offenses made by drivers, including speeding, making illegal turns, failing to stop for signs and signals, failing to yield to pedestrians in cross walks or any other dangerous violation.

The Combined Intensive Traffic Enforcement team consists of members from the Healdsburg Police Department, Santa Rosa Police Department, Windsor Police Department, Sonoma Police Department, Petaluma Police Department, Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, and the California Highway Patrol.
