Two Weekend Earthquakes Rattle Sonoma County
The two quakes hit within nine hours of each other and near the same area on Saturday.
HEALDSBURG, CA — An earthquake struck Sonoma County on Saturday night. It struck the area about nine hours after an earthquake of a similar size shook the county.
A 3.4 magnitude earthquake was reported at 8:17 p.m. about 21 miles north of Healdsburg and 19 miles north of Windsor, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. On Saturday morning, around 11:18 a.m. another earthquake rattled the area, at a depth of about two miles, authorities said.
No injuries were reported.
