Who Robs The Same Store Twice? Apparently, This Rohnert Park Man

At his arrest Monday, the suspect was actually wearing a necklace he allegedly swiped in the first hold-up at the same jewelry store.

Sonoma County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Monday on suspicion of robbing a jewelry store twice in the past week.

Deputies responded at 1:45 p.m. Monday to a robbery at the Joyeria Torres jewelry store at 777 Sebastopol Road in the Roseland area of Santa Rosa, Lt. Steve Brown said. The store was robbed on Feb. 23 by the same suspect, according to a store employee.

The suspect, later identified as Cristian Heredia, 20, of Rohnert Park, was armed with a hand gun Monday and dropped a set of car keys on the floor of the store when he fled, Brown said.

Deputies found Heredia, who matched the description of the robber, walking on Sunset Avenue, and the keys the suspect dropped in the store matched a vehicle in the area, Brown said.

The robbery victim and video surveillance in the store also identified Heredia as the suspect, Brown said. Heredia also was wearing a necklace that was taken from the store on Feb. 23, Brown said.

Deputies also found items taken from the robbery and a replica semi-automatic pistol with the orange tip painted black on the path the suspect took when he fled, Brown said. Heredia was arrested for robbery, possession of stolen property and a violation of probation, Brown said.
