'Wolverine' Claw, Suspected Meth Pipe Discovered During Trail Patrol

Felony weapon, suspected drugs discovered during Joe Rodota Trail patrol.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A foot patrol along the Joe Rodota Trail in Sonoma County led to the arrest of a man found with Wolverine-style metal knuckles and drug paraphernalia at an unlawful campsite near Santa Rosa Creek, a state waterway.

On Thursday, the Sebastopol Police Department officer found the man in a wooded area adjacent to the trail and observed him wearing the spikey metal knuckles, which are illegal. A search of the man uncovered a suspected meth pipe in his pocket. Officers said the man was camping on an off-limits site and storing garbage a short distance from the waterway.
The man was arrested and booked into the county jail.
