Fiesta Hermosa Returns To Hermosa Beach

Southern California's largest arts and crafts festival will feature more than 300 vendors and welcome over 100,000 regional residents.

From Hermosa Beach Chamber: The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau hosts the 48th annual Fiesta Hermosa – Southern California’s largest arts and crafts festival featuring more than 300 vendors and welcoming over 100,000 regional residents. Fiesta Hermosa takes place in downtown Hermosa Beach Saturday, May 25 – Monday, May 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The family-friendly event includes live music, carnival rides, an enormous variety of food and beverages alongside painters, sculptors, photographers, handcrafters and jewelers.

Within these vendors, we’ll be featuring over 40 local vendors and over 20 local artists. The Chamber will kick off Fiesta Hermosa with a Memorial Day celebration to honor those who have served for our country. The ceremony will include special guest speakers Mayor Stacey Armato, Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi and Colonel Woodrow “Tony Meeks” of the Air Force. The Ceremony takes place Saturday, May 25th, at noon on the Main Stage.

Stay entertained throughout the holiday weekend with the Kiddie Carnival’s 30-foot slide, mechanical rides and games. There is also a petting zoo, pony rides and face painting. Additionally, Fiesta Siesta returns to offer a tranquil setting for parents and their babies to rest and recharge. Adults can support several local nonprofit groups by enjoying the Charity Beer & Wine Garden. Popular food court vendors will return, and food trucks stationed at the intersection of Pier Avenue and Manhattan Avenue will be accompanied by an acoustic music stage featuring shaded tables and seating.

Please visit fiestahermosa.net for a list of all musicians playing on three stages over the weekend. The Fiesta footprint has been expanded up Pier Avenue to Monterey Blvd. This extension allows for additional ADA parking and gives the Chamber the opportunity to offer booths to more local businesses, free expression groups and non-profits. The Chamber worked diligently to secure not only the expansion, but approval for booths on both sides of Hermosa Avenue (as opposed to just the west side, as required last year). The Chamber is very pleased to announce they received the green light from the City on all counts.

‘Fiesta de las Artes’ – a 10-booth experiential art zone at Fiesta Hermosa the Chamber created in partnership with South Bay Artist Collective – will be held in the parking lot of Laurel Tavern (1220 Hermosa Avenue) and is sponsored by the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis. There will be interactive opportunities for children, including canvas painting and designing t-shirts. Stop by and see live artists in action such as Paul Roustan (Saturday, 11 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) and Josh Barnes (Sunday and Monday, all day). Daniel Inez, owner of local business The Pacific Stranded, is working alongside the Chamber to organize a special section of art-focused booths along Hermosa Avenue.

Free shuttle buses run to Fiesta Hermosa from the Northrop Grumman parking lot at the southwest corner of Aviation Boulevard and 33rd Street in Manhattan Beach. The pick-up and drop-off location on the venue will be at the intersection of 10th Street and Hermosa Avenue from 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Locals are encouraged to walk or bike to Fiesta Hermosa and use the free bike valet lot at the beach staffed by Hermosa Cyclery, which offers air for tires and on-site diagnostic checkups. Please bring reusable bags for purchases as vendors will not have plastic bags in cooperation with the City’s environmental initiatives. Patrons of legal age planning to enjoy the Charity Beer & Wine Garden must have valid ID with them for entry.

Several Chamber members are offering special promotions that attendees can take advantage of by picking up special “Love Our Locals” coupons available at the Information Booth during the event. Sponsors of Fiesta Hermosa include AB inBev, BeachSport, Toyota, Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Club, Southern California Edison, California Water Service, West Basin Municipal Water District, CIA Design and Construction, Fusion Academy, Bichlmeier Insurance, Absolute Laser Tattoo Removal, Surf City Theatre Company, Lazy Acres, Leadership Hermosa Beach and local restaurants Abigaile, Steak & Whisky and Dia de Campo.
