Health Department Restaurant Closures

Two Hermosa Beach businesses were closed by the county public health department, according to the department website.

American Junkie and Sharkeez on Pier Avenue were recently closed by the County of Los Angeles Public Health department for violations.

was closed on Aug. 1 for sewage and re-opened the same day. was closed on June 28 for "vermin harborage" and "vermin infestation" and re-opened on June 30, according to the department website.

The reporting period was from May 24 through Aug. 24.
