RESULTS: Hermosa Beach City Council Election 2017

Stacey Armato, Mary Campbell, and H. S. Fangary came out on top.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA – With four out of four precincts reporting results for the Hermosa Beach City Council election, three candidates have come out on top: Stacey Armato with 23.26 percent of the vote, Mary Campbell with 19.33 percent, and H. S. Fangary with 18.96 percent of the vote.

With all four precincts reporting in Los Angeles County, here are the results for the Hermosa Beach election:

  1. Stacey Armato 23.26% of the vote with 1,003 votes
  2. Mary Campbell 19.33% of the vote with 824 votes
  3. H. S. Fangary 18.96% of the vote with 816 votes
  4. Peter C. Tucker 15.05% of the vote with 601 votes
  5. Trent Bernard Larson 11.21% of the vote with 489 votes
  6. Matt McCool 8.64% of the vote with 367 votes
  7. Christopher Cenci 3.55% of the vote with 162 votes

The polls closed at 8 p.m. on this election day in Hermosa Beach. In the City, three city council seats are up for grabs – each position will last for a full five-year term. The terms of office for those elected in Nov. 2017 were extended by one year to accomodate election date change from odd-numbered years to even numbered- years effective Nov. 2022, as approved by City Council.
