Hermosa Beach Construction Notice: Skechers Headquarters Construction Project Update

MCCARTHY BUILDING COMPANIES, INC., Contractor, will be performing work in the public right-of-way on 30th street, Longfellow, and Pacific Coast Highway beginning on August 10, 2020 associated with the Skechers Headquarters Construction Project.

This work will require closure of the curb side lane and sidewalk on PCH heading southbound between Longfellow Ave. and Tennyson Street, partial sidewalk closure on 30th street, and partial sidewalk closure on Longfellow Ave. These closures will consist of concrete K-Rail and other traffic control devices to direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around the construction area. Signage will be posted on all affected streets indicating alternative safe routes for travel.

These closures will begin on August 10, 2020 and Caltrans has approved the lane closure to occur through December 2020 and may grant an extension to the permit beyond that timeframe. Construction on this project will continue through September 2022.
