The Hermosa Beach MOMS Club annual fundraiser

The Hermosa Beach MOMS club partnered with the Comedy and Magic Club to organize a fun night out for parents while raising funds for the Hermosa Beach Library. The moms in the club generously donated their time and money through ticket sales for a show featuring Arsenio Hall and Friends at the Comedy and Magic Club. All proceeds were donated to the Hermosa Beach Library and they were able to raise over $2000 for materials and a special community event.

Each year The MOMS club organizes several service projects and fundraisers to support community organizations. This year the members decided to create an parents only event where moms and dads could join each other for a fun night out at one of our local venues. They sold over 75 tickets and had a great turnout for the evening dinner and show.

The MOMS club decided to use the funds that were raised to strengthen the children’s department of our community library by purchasing materials and sponsoring a Mr. Twister Balloon Workshop. This will be a hands on event for kids and their care-givers. It will take place on Tuesday, August 11th from 11:15-12.00 pm. In order to select materials, members worked with the librarians to purchase beginner chapter books, board books, and read-along cds. The MOMS club is excited that all children in our community can enjoy these new materials and the Balloon Workshop. MOMS club membership is open to all moms living in Hermosa and Manhattan Beach. In addition to service projects, it has weekly playgroups, field trips, moms’ nights out, holiday parties, and new member socials.
