Maeya Art Festival: January 23 - 25, 2015
For those interested in cultural art…..

The Festival will present a variety of Chinese painting and calligraphy exhibitions, such as Chinese traditional paintings, Chinese calligraphy works, gouaches, Chinese watercolors and more. There will be a workshop about the Chinese calligraphy and watercolor, offering the general public a great opportunity to get close to the creative process and learn directly from the calligraphy masters and professional painters from overseas. One lucky audience member will be awarded an autographed Mao-style cursive calligraphy piece created by calligrapher Yaohua Zhao.
Many collectors and guest artists are expected to attend to exchange their experiences and discuss the artists’ paintings. There will be a professional art appreciation auction, as well as an aesthetics panel. The general public is also welcome to participate in the auction. During the three days, visitors may vote for their favorite artist’s works. On the night of January 25, there will be an Award Ceremony to grant awards to the artists.
Hours are 11 a.m. through 6 p.m. and admission is FREE.
