Relief For Hermosa Beach As Gas Prices Continue To Drop

After months of spiking gas prices, the average cost of a gallon of gas is dipping across Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES, CA — After months of skyrocketing prices, gas prices continued to dip across the Southland Wednesday. It was the 22nd consecutive day of price declines in Los Angeles County.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles fell three-tenths of a cent to $3.971 -- its lowest amount since April 10.

Since prices began declining in the region the average price has decreased 14.9 cents, including eight-tenths of a cent Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 4.6 cents less than one week ago and 15.3 cents lower than one month ago, but 20.5 cents higher than one year ago.
