South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide August 15, 2019
The South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide offers comprehensive coverage of the greater South Bay area.

Several of the big, summer events are taking place this weekend, along with a few, more intimate affairs. From El Segundo to the hill, there’s something for everyone! We also have another craft beer brewery opening in Lomita, and by my count, that makes 26 in the South Bay alone. (I feel a brewery crawl coming on.) When you patronize one of these breweries, you’re not just enjoying a cold one, you’re supporting a local, small business! (For every $100 you spend at locally owned businesses, $68 will stay in the community. When you spend that same $100 at a national chain, only $43 stays in the community.) For a comprehensive list of breweries, brew pubs and tap rooms, visit https://www.southbaybyjackie.com/south-bay-craft-beer-breweries-brewpubs-tap-rooms/.
Crab Fest at Ragin Cajun continues through Sunday August 18. Crab Fest happens only once a year and you definitely don’t want to miss it! Get your fill of snow crab, king crab, Dungeness Crab, soft shell crab, Louisiana blue crab and so much more, including the entire regular menu and live music on Friday. For additional information, visit the website at http://www.ragincajuncaferb.com. Ragin Cajun is located at 525 South Pacific Coast Highway, Redondo Beach, CA 90277.

This special fundraiser will send 20% of sales to the Soroptimist project to support women starting chemotherapy for breast cancer. Be sure to present this flyer to your server – you can print it out or (SAVE A TREE) show it on your phone and your server will credit your bill for dine-in or take-out to contribute to the fund. The MBPD will have a greeting table with t-shirts and other items for sale to also support these women. You can learn more about the comfort bags project and see one of the bags that are donated to women in chemotherapy. California Pizza Kitchen is located at 3320 North Sepulveda Boulevard, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
