South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide July 5, 2018

The South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide offers comprehensive coverage of the greater South Bay area.

I hope you all enjoyed the mid-week Fourth of July celebrations yesterday, but it’s this weekend that summer really kicks into high gear. Many of the weekly outdoor concerts will begin over the next few days and continue straight through to Labor Day weekend. I’ve listed the complete schedules this week so you can take a quick peek and make note of the ones you don’t want to miss. (Concerts series that have already begun are posted at https://www.southbaybyjackie.com/ongoing-events.php.) I know we all have our favorite bands and music preferences, but sometimes it’s fun to get outside your comfort zone and experience something different. Who knows? You may discover something new and compelling and be pleasantly surprised. Many years ago, when I heard Zydeco music for the first time, I thought, “WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!?” and I still can’t get enough of it. ♫Whatever gets your toes tapping, tis the season for sun, sand, surf and sizzling summer playlists!♫
