This weekend, we glide into fall. The many summer concert series have concluded and the final Movie on the Beach takes place this Saturday. In just a few days, autumn will hold sway with its own set of beloved traditions: fall fashion events, street fairs, music festivals, auto shows, food and drink celebrations, fundraisers, the Palos Verdes Performing Arts Center season opener with Michael Feinstein, and the Pacific Ballet Dance Theatre production of Carmen at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. The Redondo Beach Main Branch Library is offering Life Planning Classes: A Five-Part Series Empowering Older Adults & Their Families during August and September. A free five-part series in partnership with H.E.L.P. focusing on elder care is offered at the Redondo Beach Main Library. Classes are free and open to everyone. No reservations are required. The Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation presents South Bay’s Got Talenton Saturday, September 22 at 7 p.m. at the James Armstrong Theater.
