• Hesperia man and woman convicted in child abuse, poisoning case (vvdailypress.com) — Hesperia residents have pleaded no contest to serious charges including attempted murder, poisoning, and child cruelty involving an 8-year-old boy, and are now awaiting sentencing. The case, handled by San Bernardino County investigators, involved allegations of great bodily injury and harmful substances in food or drink, with several torture counts dismissed under a plea deal.
