Dear Patch Editors,I wanted to report a potential issue with the June 2, 2026 Primary ballots in San Bernardino County.For my address in Colton (precinct associated with Ballot Type 50), the official county Polling Place / Voter Information Guide lookup tool (elections.sbcounty.gov) shows the Governor candidates listed in standard A–Z alphabetical order. However, California Elections Code requires all ballots for statewide races to follow the Secretary of State’s randomized alphabet drawing. A different ballot type from the same lookup tool (Ballot Type 43) correctly follows the randomized order.I’ve attached screenshots of both:Ballot Type 50 (A–Z order)Ballot Type 43 (randomized order, starting with Elaine Culotti, etc.)I have already contacted the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters about this and notified the San Bernardino County GOP along with the campaigns of Steve Hilton and Chad Bianco.I’m reaching out to confirm whether this reflects what was actually printed for Type 50 precincts and whether any review or manual adjudication will be done for affected ballots during the canvass.Thank you for any light you can shed on this for local voters. I was only able to attach ballot type 50. I will attempt to send a picture of type 43 in a separate email.
