1 Injured In Highland Park Strip Mall Fire
An attic fire spread across a row of businesses on East York Boulevard in Highland Park Wednesday: Breaking.

HIGHLAND PARK, CA — Firefighters battled a blaze that damaged three Highland Park businesses, injuring one person Wednesday.
The fire damaged three businesses in the 5100 block of East York Boulevard, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Amy Bastman.The fire broke out at about 4:37 p.m. Wednesday, burning roughly 150x50-foot of attic space.
The hospitalized person's injuries were not considered life-threatening. An arson investigation unit was summoned to the 5100 block of East York Boulevard, where the blaze was reported about 4:35 p.m., according to Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Nearly 90 firefighters responded and knocked down the fire in 29 minutes, she said.
One patient was taken to a hospital.
