Led by teaching artist Nathalie Sanchez

Join us for a Teaching Artist-led, professional development collage workshop, inspired by artist Jasper John’s Flag painting (1954-55) with a contemporary twist! Implementing an inquiry-based methodology, teachers will learn how to introduce a modern art masterpiece and lead a multicultural arts lesson that invites students to reflect on their personal and cultural identities. Designed for upper elementary - high school educators interested in multicultural arts education and visual arts integration, this hand-on arts workshop will be sure to inspire the artist in you and your students!
