Election Day Video: Meet Los Angeles Poll Inspector Nick Garcia
Inspector said polling stations will heat up after work.
The voting station at the Highland Park Recreation Center was quiet on Tuesday morning.
Only about 10 people showed up to vote before work, said Nick Garcia, a poll worker.
Garcia, who has been the inspector at the polling station for ten years, said he expects to see about 300 voters by the end of the day. Most of the voters will likely show up after work.

Highland Park resident Claudia Harbert walked from her home to the voting poll early morning.
“I always vote. I’ve never missed an election since I turned 18,” Harbert said.

The 37-year-old said she wanted to support Measure L, which would help restore services and shield the library from future cuts.
She said she spends time in the library and wants to support it.
