CRESCENDO YOUNG MUSICIANS GUILD (CYMG) TO HOLD FUNDRAISER GALA IN HIGHLAND PARK

Crescendo will hold their 1^st annual fundraiser on September 15th from 7-10pm at the Highland Park home of Hillary Danner. The event "L.A. Noir at La Boheme", will have a slick 1950's L.A. Confidential vibe and attendees are encouraged to channel their favorite old Hollywood starlet or heart throb. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used help Crescendo continue to provide low cost music education in violin, cello, brass, voice and drumline programs for children ages 5-21 in the Los Angeles area.

Guests will enjoy a no host bar with cocktails and appetizers being served at 7PM. An exciting silent and live auction hosted by comedian and actor Jim Nieb. Plus entertainment by Crescendo's students and special concert performance by Kenton Chen. Kenton is the Music Director/Founder of The Backbeats from NBC's The Sing-Off and opened for and went on tour with Ben Folds last year. 

Celebrity guests include

• Suzanne Whang, actor, comedian and radio/TV personality

• Reno Wilson, actor/musician, currently stars as "Carl" on CBS's Mike & Molly

• Todd Stashwick, actor/writer, NBC's Heroes and FX's The Riches plus new action/horror web comic Devil Inside.

Crescendo Young Musicians Guild (CYMG) was begun by Pin Chen in 2011 and provides quality music instruction, mentoring, and performance opportunities to students ages 5-21 who may otherwise not have them.
