Although facing many challenges as an adolescent Antwon realized his true calling was creativity when he was accepted into CALARTS in 2002. There, he received his bachelor’s degree in fine art in 2006.
Since that time Antwon has had a constant work ethic and has shown in many different non-profit galleries and alternative spaces in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Chicago.
Working in various mediums from screen printing spray paint and canvas, to three dimensional sculptural pieces, text and video Antwon's artwork explores and confronts social political structures, language, urban history, communication. His work is powered my both concept and aesthetic delivering messages that are both a mental as well as visual experience for viewers.
"Like language, there are many different ways to deliver a message to an individual with art. As an artist it is your challenge to figure which vessel deliverers your message the strongest."
We will also be particiapting in a fundraiser for The Marc and Eva HS drill team and after school leadership program. Come on by for a great night of fun, art and community support.
