“Notes From the Chicano Sublime.” Featuring the work of Linda Arreola, Val Echavarria, Cici Segura Gonzalez, and Ramon Ramirez, this exhibit of abstract work highlights ideas that border on otherworldly themes associated with the cosmic, biological, and spiritual worlds.

The Annex:

In “Ruptured ‘girls at eleven,” Meg Madison reuses photographs from a 1998 photo-essay of hers. In doing so, she pieces together a series of portraits that speak to the uneasy transition females face from ‘girl’ to the sexualized figure of ‘woman.’
