On Saturday, September 19th Brian Kissock, CSB, of Northern Ireland and Oceanside, California, will address issues of health and safety through understanding God’s universal laws of harmony. He will speak of God’s love for mankind, God’s laws of protection, and how scientific prayer heals — with many instances of healing and how terrorism and fear can be overcome in his one-hour talk, “The Time for Healing is Now!” This free talk will take place during the second half of the annual meeting of Broadview Christian Science nursing facility, a non-profit organization located in Highland Park.
The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. under a canopy on the lawn at 4570 Griffin Ave., Los Angeles 90031. Guests may come for the whole meeting or arrive by 10:30 a.m. for the talk. Childcare is available. A light lunch will follow at 11:45 a.m. Please RSVP: (323) 221-9174.
The speaker was brought up in Northern Ireland and had an early career as a pro golfer who played in the 1974 Northern Ireland Championship. When he was 20, his dad passed on, and he began to study different religions, philosophers, and theologians. When he found Christian Science, he purchased a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and found the answers he was searching for. As he studied the book, Northern Ireland was in the midst of “The Troubles” – 40 years of religious and sectarian strife. He and his business were protected many times through what he was learning about God and the Bible. Eventually, he was led to devote himself full time to the public healing practice of Christian Science, helping others gain freedom from disease, sin, relationship problems, unemployment, etc.—through spiritual means alone. He now speaks internationally as a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship.
