2 Injured In Hollywood Apartment Fire Involving Lithium-Ion Battery

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries Friday morning in a fire involving a lithium-ion battery at a Hollywood apartment building, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters were called at 9:25 a.m. to 1611 Schrader Blvd., where flames were burning inside one unit of a three-story apartment building.

Crews knocked down the fire in 12 minutes, the LAFD said.

Paramedics were evaluating two patients for non-life-threatening injuries. Officials did not immediately provide additional details about the patients.

Officials said the hazard did not spread beyond the immediate area, and no evacuation was ordered.
