5 Injured When Car Flips In Hollywood Crash

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Five people were hurt, two critically, in a three-vehicle crash that left one vehicle overturned on the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway Sunday in the Hollywood area.

The collision was about 5:40 p.m. in the area between Cahuenga and Hollywood boulevards, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol.

Five people were hospitalized.

In addition to the pair who were in critical condition, the other three suffered non-life-threatening injuries, fire department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

The crash temporarily shut down multiple lanes, the CHP said.

The lanes were reopened about 6:30 p.m.
