$50K Reward Offered For Mercedes Driver Who Killed Homeless Man

Police are asking for help finding the hit and run driver who killed a 29-year-old man in Hollywood Friday.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A homeless pedestrian was struck and killed in Hollywood Friday, and authorities are offering a $50,000 award for help finding the Mercedes driver who killed him.

Coroner's Lt. Nani Cholakians identified the victim as 29-year-old Richard Earl Debose Sunday. The fatal crash happened at about 3 a.m. Friday at Highland and Willoughby avenues. Debose died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The hit and run driver was behind the wheel of a white late-model Mercedes C300 or similar vehicle that was northbound on Highland Avenue. No description was available of the motorist.

A standing reward of up to $50,000 is available from the city of Los Angeles for information that helps police solve a fatal hit-and-run.
