5M People Register For LA Olympics Tickets — But There's Still Time To Sign Up

There's been a "record-setting surge" of interest in tickets for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Here's what to know.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Over 5 million people have registered for a chance to snag tickets to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which organizers said on Monday represented a "record-setting surge" of interest.

"As a historic Winter Games concludes, we celebrate the incredible athletes and achievements of so many," Reynold Hoover, LA28 chief executive officer, said in a statement. "We are grateful for the millions of people who have expressed interest in joining us in LA in 2028 where more of these stories and dreams will come to life."

Registration for ticket sales started in January and is open until March 18. Following registration, ticket access will be determined through a lottery, according to LA28.

So far, people from all 50 states, as well as 194 countries, have registered for a chance to buy tickets. Around 100,000 people register daily, according to organizers.

The 2028 Olympics will take place July 14-30, with the Paralympic Games following Aug. 15-27. Tickets for the Paralympics will go on sale in 2027.
