Academy Awards 2026: Complete List Of Oscar Nominees
With a record 16 nominations, "Sinners" made Oscar history, leading "One Battle After Another" among this year's top contenders.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominations for the 98th Academy Awards on Thursday, with “Sinners” dominating the field with 16 nominations, the most ever for a single film. The vampire thriller surpassed the long‑standing record of 14 nominations held by “All About Eve,” “Titanic” and “La La Land.”
“One Battle After Another” followed with 13 nominations, while both “Hamnet” and “Frankenstein” earned nine apiece, rounding out the year’s most recognized contenders.
“Sinners,” where blues rhythms meet vampiric dread, earned nominations for best picture, best director for Ryan Coogler and best actor for Michael B. Jordan. The film added Delroy Lindo to the supporting actor race and Wunmi Mosaku to the supporting actress lineup.

“One Battle After Another,” a politically charged thriller about the emotional wreckage of ideological collapse, garnered 13 nominations, including best picture, best director for Paul Thomas Anderson, best actor for Leonardo DiCaprio and supporting nods for Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn and Teyana Taylor.
“Hamnet,” an elegiac adaptation of Maggie O’Farrell’s novel about Shakespeare’s son, received nine nominations, including best picture, best director for Chloé Zhao and best actress for Jessie Buckley.

“Frankenstein,” Guillermo del Toro’s reimagining of Mary Shelley’s Gothic tale, also picked up nine nominations, including best picture and a strong slate of below‑the‑line nods. The film contributed to the supporting actor category through Jacob Elordi.
Other nominees in the best actor category include Timothée Chalamet (“Marty Supreme”), Ethan Hawke (“Blue Moon”) and Wagner Moura (“The Secret Agent”).
Other nominees in the best actress category include Rose Byrne (“If I Had Legs I’d Kick You”), Kate Hudson (“Song Sung Blue”), Renate Reinsve (“Sentimental Value”) and Emma Stone (“Bugonia”).
The supporting actress lineup also includes Elle Fanning and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (both for “Sentimental Value”) and Amy Madigan (“Weapons”).
Stellan Skarsgård (“Sentimental Value”) rounds out the supporting actor nominees.
Rounding out the best picture field were “Bugonia,” “F1,” “Marty Supreme,” “Sentimental Value,” “Train Dreams” and “The Secret Agent,” completing a slate of 10 films competing for the Academy’s top honor.
In total, 317 feature films were deemed eligible for this year’s awards, with 201 titles competing for best picture. This year’s ceremony will also mark the first time casting directors are formally recognized with their own competitive Oscar category, honoring films released in 2025.
The 2026 Oscar nominations presentation took place Thursday morning as Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman unveiled all 24 categories, ahead of a ceremony set for Sunday, March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The 98th Academy Awards will be broadcast live on ABC at 7 p.m. ET, with Conan O’Brien returning as host for the second year in a row.
