Arson Suspected In North Hollywood Tree Fires [VIDEO]
A trio of massive cypress trees and a palm erupted in flames early Thursday morning in North Hollywood.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Authorities were investigating whether three tree fires in a North Hollywood neighborhood Thursday were intentionally set, and were seeking a male who was seen leaving one fire scene on a bicycle.
The first fire was reported about 5:45 a.m. in the 5900 block of Irvine Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A male in dark clothing was seen leaving the area of that fire on a bicycle, police said.
Shortly afterward, tree fires were reported in the 5600 block of Beck Avenue and the 5900 block of Carpenter Avenue. At least two vehicles were damaged by flames. Arson investigators were sent to the scene.
