Burglar Gets 2 Years for Breaking into Miley Cyrus' Toluca Lake House

A man who broke into singer Miley Cyrus' Toluca Lake house was sentenced to prison Wednesday.

A Newbury Park man who broke into singer Miley Cyrus’ Toluca Lake house was sentenced today to two years behind bars.

Rusty Edward Sellner, 22, was given credit for 270 days he has already served. Superior Court Judge Alan Schneider said a hearing will be held later to determine how much restitution he should pay, but a date for that hearing was not immediately set.

Sellner pleaded no contest Feb. 11 to first-degree residential burglary for breaking into Cyrus house on Dec. 16 and taking a large amount of personal property belonging to the singer and her brother, according to Deputy District Attorney Brad Harmon.

He was arrested Jan. 5 by Los Angeles police.
