Crime Rates Vary Among Hollywood Neighborhoods: Report

Central Hollywood had one of the city's higher crime rates in 2022, while East Hollywood had a lower crime rate than Los Feliz.

HOLLYWOOD, CA – The crime rates last year varied widely across different parts of Hollywood, according to a report from USA Today.

Central Hollywood had one of the city's higher crime rates, at 117 crimes per 1,000 people. East Hollywood's rate was lower, 54 per 1,000 — lower than Los Feliz, which saw 83 crimes per 1,000 people.

The rate in Hollywood Hills West was 44 per 1,000.

The newspaper analyzed Los Angeles Police Department data gathered by the nonprofit Crosstown, which is based at the USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, according to the report.
