'Czech That Film' Festival Comes to Los Angeles
The touring "Czech That Film" festival stops by Los Angeles from March 27 - 31.

Screening current hits from the Czech Republic, The Czech That Film festival tours Los Angeles from March 27 – April 2. In its fourth year, its program will travel to 19 cities in total.
The Los Angeles festival opens on Friday, March 27 at 7 pm with the screening of “Fair Play”—a story of a 19-year old sprinter aiming for the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles who gets involved with the state-controlled doping program. Scheduled to attend is the film’s director, Andrea Sedlackova, who will introduce the film, and participate in a Q&A session with the audience after the screening.

Other films in the program include “Krásno,”“Honeymoon,” “Burning Bush,” “Lousy Bastards,” “Don Juans,” “Colete,” and “Like Never Before.”

Wrapping up the festival on March 31 is the comedy “Icing,” – a story that takes place in a remote village pub during an ice hockey world championship.
Organized by the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles, Czech Center in New York and USC, the touring festival screens all films with English subtitles.
Although admission is free to the general public, reservations are required.
