Deputies Injured In WeHo Crash

Two deputies were injured in a crash in West Hollywood on Thursday afternoon.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — Two deputies were hospitalized Thursday afternoon after they were injured in a crash in West Hollywood.

The crash was reported at 12:10 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County fire and sheriff's departments.

The deputies were riding together in a patrol vehicle, which collided with another vehicle, KTLA reported.

A Fire Department spokesman said two people who sustained minor injuries were taken to a hospital. The Sheriff's Department confirmed the two were deputies who had been involved in a crash at the intersection.

The driver of the other vehicle declined transport and was seen speaking with investigators, according to a report from the scene.

It was not immediately clear if the deputies were on a call or if the cruiser had its emergency lights and siren activated when the crash occurred.
