Dog Shot By Man Inside Hollywood Restaurant: Report

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A dog was shot by a man inside a Hollywood restaurant on Saturday after the animal apparently attacked his dog, according to a report.

The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. Saturday at the El Pollo Loco near Vine Street and Fountain Avenue. A customer was paying at the counter when her dog left her side and attacked a dog that had just entered the restaurant with its owner, NBC Los Angeles reported.

The man who had just entered the business pulled out a gun and fired a shot at the woman's dog. The bullet grazed the dog's neck, causing a non-life-threatening wound, according to the station.

The shooter left the scene. Police are investigating the incident.
