ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — “Euphoria” star Angus Cloud died of an accidental overdose, according to authorities.

The 25-year-old who rose to fame for his role in the HBO drama died in July from acute intoxication due to the combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and benzodiazepine, the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau confirmed Thursday.

Cloud died just days after he buried his father, his family told media outlets at the time.

“The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend,” family said in a widely published statement. “Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence."

Cloud rose to fame after he was cast on "Euphoria," which became one of HBO’s most-watched shows ever after it premiered in 2019. A first-time actor, Cloud was scouted for the role of kind-hearted drug dealer Fezco while he was walking down the street in Brooklyn.
