Art Auction Benefitting Against The Stream Buddhist Meditation Society (on Melrose at Vermont)

Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society is hosting a silent art auction this Sunday, August 21st, from 1pm-3pm at their Melrose Avenue meditation center, located in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles.

If you're interested in getting to know more about meditation or just want to enjoy some eclectic art and support the center's scholarship programs, come by!

Much of the art up for auction is original and created by local artists who are members of the Hollywood and Santa Monica Against the Stream meditation sanghas.

Over 60 pieces will be auctioned, including beautiful original photography by Alan Myerson and Miya Ando, original Dharma-inspired poster art by local artist Lorenzo Belmonte, and original poetry by writer (and Patch contributor) Amanda Michaels Zech.

Also up for auction are a Reiki session with holistic nutrition coach / energy healer Hilary Vreeland, acupuncture with Dr. Randy Martin, an hour of tattoo time at The Ink Monkey, and so much more!

Proceeds from the auction will benefit ATS's scholarship fund and programs.
