Fire Damages Hollywood Medical Building

Crews were able to contain the blaze to a one-story medical office building on Vermont Avenue in Hollywood: BREAKING

HOLLYWOOD (CNS), CA — A fire damaged a medical office building in Hollywood early Tuesday morning, kicking off a day of extreme fire danger amid triple digit temperatures and Santa Ana winds

The blaze was first reported at 4:54 a.m. at 1200 N. Vermont Ave. and was extinguished by 28 firefighters in 18 minutes, according to Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire was contained to the building of origin, Bastman said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
