Firefighter Injured Battling Hollywood Blaze

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

HOLLYWOOD, CA —A firefighter was injured while battling a fire in a commercial building on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood Monday morning.

The blaze broke out shortly after 11 a.m. on the first floor of a building in the 6800 block of West Sunset Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.

"Firefighters found fire in one room on the first floor of the vacant commercial building," Prange said. "It took 30 firefighters 21 minutes to extinguish the flames."

"One firefighter sustained a non-life-threatening injury and will be transported for further care," he added.

The cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
