Nine cars were destroyed Wednesday night after a massive fire tore through a carport at an apartment complex in Hollywood.

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- Nine cars were destroyed after a massive fire tore through a carport at an apartment complex in Hollywood, authorities said today.
Fire crews were called at 11:31 p.m. Wednesday to 1639 Laurel Canyon Blvd. west of Hollywood Boulevard where they worked to get the flames under control, ABC 7 reported.
The fire also caused some damage to fiber optic cables near the complex, but none of the units were damaged.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, authorities say.
