Hollywood Backhouse Fire Spreads To Main House
The cause of the fire on Romaine Street remains under investigation.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — A fire inside a vacant backhouse that spread to a vacant main house in Hollywood was extinguished Sunday by firefighters, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The first fire at 5534 Romaine St. was reported at 3:35 p.m., said fire department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The fire then extended into one room of the front house, Stewart continued.

The department sent 26 firefighters to the scene and extinguished the flames in about 20 minutes, she said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
