Los Angeles firefighters tackled a fire at a single-story home in Hollywood Monday morning.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a vacant house in the Hollywood area Monday.

The blaze broke out at a single-story home in the 5800 block of West Lexington Avenue shortly before 6:30 a.m. Monday, according to Margaret Stewart, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Fire Department. It took 35 firefighters a half-hour to knock down the blaze, she said.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries reported.
