Hollywood Power Outage: Power Restored
The cause of a power outage that's left Hollywood residents without power on one of the hottest days of the year is under investigation.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — Power has been restored to 788 Department of Water and Power customers in Hollywood Saturday, authorities said.
The outage in the area of Sunset Boulevard and Highland Avenue occurred about 10 a.m., utility spokesman Michael Ventre said.
The customers again had power as of 4 p.m. after workers "shifted the load" around the damaged area, Ventre said. Repairs continued.

The cause of the outage could be apparent as repairs are completed, he said.
