June Kick-Off: Outdoor Movies At Hollywood Forever Cemetery & LA Park
Among the line-up: "The Wizard of Oz," to mark Judy Garland's 100th birthday; and "But I'm A Cheerleader," to celebrate Pride Month.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Cinespia, the Los Angeles outdoor, cinematic experience, announces its June line-up that includes "The Wizard of Oz" — marking the 100th birthday of the late Judy Garland — June 12 at Hollywood Forever Cemetery
"Celebrate Judy Garland's 100th birthday with her most beloved film, benefitting Project Angel Food," Cinespia said. "Bring your family, friends or best Judys to our free, themed photobooth, my pretties, to take a keepsake photo."
Cinespia's outdoor venues include Hollywood Forever Cemetery, 6000 Santa Monica Blvd., and Los Angeles State Historic Park, 1245 N. Spring St.

Also on the upcoming agenda: "Twilight" on June 3; "American Psycho" on June 4; "Aliens" on June 18; "Selena" on June 24; and to celebrate Pride month, in partnership with LA Pride, is a screening of "But I’m a Cheerleader" on June 25.
“We’ve been celebrating Pride at Cinespia for as long as I can remember, and we're excited this year to partner with LA Pride for a screening of 'But I’m a Cheerleader,'” said Cinespia founder John Wyatt. “June is sure to be an incredible month of Cinespia screenings.”

On Saturday, June 25, the "But I’m a Cheerleader" film highlights "one tofu square too many, and a lusty longing for other cheerleaders, (landing) a peppy teenager in a scared-straight conversion therapy camp," according to organizers.
"The stars sparkle and the party shimmers with DJ sets and a wild and wonderful dance floor," Cinespia said. "Everybody say gay! Admitting it is the first step to getting the Pride party started."
On Saturday, June 18 at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, "Aliens" reveals a believe it or not Ripley (played by Sigourney Weaver) returning to space.
And on Friday, June 24, at Los Angeles State Historic Park, the "Selena"film will play.
"The tribute is sure to make your heart go 'bidi bidi bom bom' with sparkling DJ sets at the gorgeous Los Angeles State Historic Park," officials said. "Our free photobooth will keep you dreamin' long after our epic tribute to the legendary Tijano crossover superstar. Anything for Selenas!"
Moviegoers can bring blankets, food and drinks, including beer and wine. DJs will entertain the crowds before and after the movie. Movies begin at 9 p.m., with park venue gates opening at approximately 7:15 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.
