Local Actor Kyle Downes Contacted LAPD Since Being Reported Missing
Downes was last seen Wednesday, after his belongings and motorcycle had been left at his Hollywood home.
UPDATE: The LAPD released a statement Wednesday evening saying that Eric Downes was found and is fine. "Kyle Downes called Detectives and verified that he is doing fine and just taking some time away," the wrote. "He will be contacting his family and reuniting with them soon."
Downes, 27, was reported missing Monday by his family.
Downes was last seen Wednesday, February 15, at his home in the 7300 block of Willoughby Avenue in Hollywood, according to a news release issued by the Los Angeles Police Department. Downes is described by police as having brown hair and blue eyes and being 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds with a thin build and light complexion. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans and black boots.

"He has never gone missing before, and this unexplained disappearance has his family very concerned for his well-being," according to the news release. "Additionally, Downes had been experiencing bouts of depression prior to being reported missing."
All of his belongings, as well as his only registered vehicle, a motorcycle, were left at his residence, it said.

Eric Meeks, a friend of Downes, told Patch that they last spoke Tuesday. He said they had spent time together the weekend before discussing a film project, and that at the time Downes "was in exceptionally good spirits."
"We just went to the bank a week ago to set up our production company," Meeks said.
Downes' Imdb profile lists numerous film and television credits including recurring roles on Lizzie McGuire and The L Word, and that he is currently writing and starring in the Web series Dice, directed by Meeks.
