La Brea Fatal Hit-And-Run Suspect Sought By LAPD

Police say the driver of a Corvette may have been racing another car when the Corvette fatally struck a man crossing La Brea Avenue.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Police are asking for the public's help identifying a motorist suspected of fatally striking a pedestrian in a La Brea Avenue crosswalk.

The collision occurred at around 1:25 a.m. on Sept. 24. Police say the pedestrian, Loryn Cole, 33, was struck by a blue 2020-2023 Chevrolet Corvette while he was crossing La Brea north of Sunset Boulevard, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Police said the driver did not stop after striking Cole.

The Los Angeles Police Department on Wednesday asked for the public's help finding the Corvette's driver, who police say may have been in a race with another car during the collision.

The city offers rewards of up to $50,000 for information that helps solve fatal hit and runs.
